RealPaint offers a valuable tool for painters, allowing them to select colors from images and compute opaque paint mixing recipes across multiple commercial brands. This feature is particularly beneficial for art students, painters with color vision difficulties, and professionals in painting conservation and restoration. By utilizing RealPaint, users can significantly reduce paint, time, and monetary waste.

Moreover, RealPaint seamlessly integrates with the Optishade by StyleItaliano app, enabling the importation of Optishade images. These images prove instrumental in creating gum or dental colors for mockups utilized by technicians in their work.

The application encompasses a wide array of Color Spaces including sRGB, Display P3, CMYK, HSL, HSV/B, Lab, Lch-ab, Luv, Lch-uv, XYZ, xyY, and Munsell coordinates. Noteworthy is the precision in calculating Munsell coordinates based on original and extrapolated Renotation Data, especially around the neutral axis. Users have the ability to monitor color transformation errors, ensuring complete control over the process.

In addition to an Ideal Paint set, RealPaint features numerous measured Paint Sets from reputable paint manufacturers such as Createx, Daler-Rowney, Ferrario, Gamblin, Grumbacher-Chartpak, Golden, Liquitex, Maimeri, Royal Talens, Schmincke, Sennelier, Vallejo, and Winsor&Newton.

Furthermore, RealPaint offers users 8 paint bases within each Paint Set. Once a Paint Line is selected, the bases can be procured from preferred sources and utilized across various painting projects. The emphasis on optimizing the 6 colored bases in each Paint Set ensures broad coverage of the opaque color space and facilitates extensive mixable color options.

RealPaint provides comprehensive guidance on achieving paint recipes through various Mixing Strategies such as "B and W + 2 Colors," "B or W + 3 Colors," "at least one opaque," "no Black used," and "all bases at once." Recipes can be either Exact or Rounded to cater to different measurement methodologies.

For users grappling with aligning digital images with real paint sets' color gamut limitations, RealPaint offers an approximation feature to adjust saturation values accordingly. It's essential to acknowledge potential color variations within paint batches from manufacturers and exercise caution by testing small amounts before relying on computed recipes.
